Purpose of the Role
We are looking for an IT Systems Engineer to join nShift’s internal Business IT team, providing operational support, and continuous improvement of our end-user IT environment.
This is a hands-on role combining user support with responsibility for maintaining and improving core internal IT systems. You will support employees both locally and remotely, working primarily within a Microsoft Entra and Microsoft 365 ecosystem, and contribute to shaping how IT services are delivered across the business.
nShift operates in a regulated environment and maintains an ISO27001-certified Information Security Management System (ISMS). This role plays an important part in ensuring that internal IT services are delivered in line with established security policies, controls, and procedures.
What You’ll Do
As an IT Systems Engineer, you’ll support day-to-day IT operations and continuous improvement of internal services, with a strong focus on stability, security, and efficiency:
· Administer Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365
· Manage endpoints using Microsoft Intune and JAMF, including software packaging, deployment, and secure configuration
· Provide end-user support for Windows and macOS devices, both onsite and remotely
· Manage the full user lifecycle (onboarding, changes, offboarding) in line with access control and security policies
· Ensure laptops and end-user equipment meet company standards for performance, security, and endpoint protection (AV/malware controls)
· Support, maintain, and secure company networks, Wi-Fi, and local IT/network infrastructure
· Manage IT assets, including procurement, lifecycle tracking, and secure disposal according to policy
· Use the IT ticketing system to manage incidents, service requests, and changes, ensuring proper documentation and approvals
· Support ISO 27001 compliance by following security policies and procedures, maintaining accurate records, contributing to audits, and helping gather evidence for continuous improvement
· Help ensure system and data access is appropriate, auditable, and reviewed, escalating security risks, incidents, or control gaps through the proper channels
· Collaborate with the Business IT team to improve documentation, processes, and service quality, while staying up to date with relevant technologies, services, and licensing models
This role does not own the ISMS but is expected to operate in line with it and support its ongoing effectiveness.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should be comfortable working across a broad internal IT scope and enjoy solving practical problems while maintaining strong security and service standards.
Required experience and skills:
· Strong general knowledge of IT infrastructure and end-user services
· Practical use of AI to assist in day to day tasks
· Practical experience administering Microsoft Entra and Microsoft 365
· Experience supporting both Windows and macOS environments
· Familiarity with endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Intune and JAMF
· Understanding of information security principles and structured IT controls
· Experience working within regulated or security-focused environments (ISO27001 or similar is an advantage)
· A solution-oriented approach with an understanding of security best practices
· Experience improving or standardising IT services, processes, or tooling
· Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team
· Strong communication skills and the ability to support users with varying technical confidence
· Ability to adapt to new technologies and work effectively under pressure
· Fluent English, both written and spoken
Why Join nShift
You’ll be joining a collaborative internal IT team at a time of real growth and transformation. As we continue to integrate systems, standardise tooling, and strengthen our security posture, you’ll have the opportunity to influence decisions rather than simply inherit legacy setups.
This role is well suited to someone who wants to develop their technical skills, take ownership, and help build secure, reliable internal IT services in a growing international organisation.
Please ensure you upload your CV in English.
