Purpose of Role and Overall Responsibility
As an Assistant Accountant you will be responsible for assisting in the processes of the month end close and reporting across various jurisdictions for our legal entities. The role is extremely varied and will require someone with excellent organisational skills and a diligence to their own work and others.
With your experience and a can-do attitude, you will ensure we are able to provide high quality reporting and as part of an international team, participate in ad-hoc projects and contribute in a high performing finance team across the nShift Group.
About you
You are part or fully qualified AAT/ACA/ACCA/CIMA with at least 3 years of accountancy/finance experience and you are curious, pragmatic, proactive, hands-on, well-organised and able to prioritise and meet multiple deliverables at deadlines.
You have the ability to build relationships with internal staff and external stakeholders with a can-do attitude and always willing to take on extra responsibilities and tasks.
The area of responsibility includes:
- Responsible for timely and accurate month-end close including relevant journal entries, running fixed asset depreciation, accruals, IC transactions and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Timely preparation and submission of VAT/EU Sales List
- Oversee payroll processing and provide timely and accurate personnel cost accounting and reporting to tax/government authorities.
- Accounts Payable - Responsible for sending out vendor bills for approvals and payments.
- Maintenance of bank reconciliations across various banking platforms across the group.
- Preparation of relevant audit deliverables and annual financial statements in local GAAP.
- Support accounting and system-related issues in the Group.
- Communicate with business control, treasury, credit control team and other part of the organization in accounting-related matters
- Ad hoc projects and duties as directed by senior managers
Requirements:
- You are part or fully qualified AAT/ACA/ACCA/CIMA with at least 3 years of accountancy/finance experience.

Education, experience and skills
- Part/fully qualified AAT/ACA/ACCA/CIMA
- University degree in Accounting/ Finance / Economics is preferred
- Strong Accounting skills
- 3+ years of relevant job experience
- Previous experience in an international organisation is desirable
- Good excel and systems skills, experience in NetSuite is a plus.
- Fluency in English is a must.
