Purpose of role
The Product Manager role at nShift is crucial in driving product success through strategic leadership and operational excellence. As a Product Manager, you will be the bridge between business objectives and technical execution, ensuring that products deliver maximum value to customers while maintaining market competitiveness. You will own the product vision and strategy, leading cross-functional teams in the development and delivery of solutions that address real customer needs.
You will be responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from discovery and validation to delivery and optimization. This involves conducting continuous experiments, gathering and analyzing data, and making informed decisions that shape the product's direction.
The role requires you to balance multiple priorities, including technical feasibility, business viability, and user desirability, while maintaining a strong focus on delivering measurable outcomes. You will be instrumental in fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and customer-centricity within the organization.
Overall responsibility
- Lead product strategy development and execution aligned with company goals and market opportunities
- Drive continuous product discovery through user research, experimentation, and validation
- Manage the product backlog and prioritize features based on business value and customer needs
- Foster collaboration across cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and business units
- Monitor and analyze product performance metrics to inform decision-making
- Champion customer needs and market opportunities within the organization
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps that balance short-term wins with long-term strategic goals
- Guide the team in Kanban ceremonies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organization
- Stay current with market trends, competitive landscape, and technological advancements
Competence and Experience
- Proven experience in product management with a track record of delivering successful products
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Excellent understanding of product management methodologies and the product operating model
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and discuss technical concepts
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt communication style to different audiences
- Experience with product discovery techniques, user research, and validation methods
- Business acumen with the ability to understand and articulate business value
- Proven track record of setting product strategy and translating it into actionable plans
- Experience with data analysis tools and ability to derive meaningful insights from product metrics
